As Taylor, Warren, Weidner, Hancock & Barnes celebrates our 20th anniversary in 2026, we've spent some time looking back—not only at the history of our own firm, but at the lawyers and judges who helped shape the legal community we have been privileged to serve for the past two decades.
This year, we want to help honor some of them.
TWWHB is accepting nominations through December 31, 2026, for deceased attorneys and judges deserving of recognition on the Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Foundation's Wall of Honor.
The Wall of Honor
The Escambia-Santa Rosa County Bar Foundation Wall of Honor was dedicated in 2010 at the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Center in Pensacola as a permanent memorial to deceased attorneys and judges of Florida's First Judicial Circuit who served both the legal profession and their community. Honorees' names are engraved into the memorial display, creating a lasting tribute inside the courthouse where so many of them spent their careers practicing law and administering justice.
The ESRBA Foundation
The Wall is also part of a larger mission. The Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Foundation was established in 1985 to support greater access to the judicial system, improvements in the administration of justice, law-related education and greater public understanding of our court system. The Foundation has supported programs ranging from student courthouse tours and legal-studies scholarships to child literacy and legal education initiatives.
As we mark 20 years at TWWHB, we can think of no better way to celebrate than by recognizing those who came before us.
Who Should TWWHB Honor On the Wall?
In honor of our 20-year celebration, TWWHB is going to honor a deceased or retired judge on the ESRBA Foundation's Wall of Honor, and we're soliciting nominations from now through December 31, 2026 to help us decide who to honor. We want to hear about the attorneys and judges who left their mark on the First Judicial Circuit.
Perhaps it was an attorney who mentored generations of young lawyers. A judge remembered for fairness, wisdom or compassion. A lawyer whose service extended far beyond the courtroom. Or simply someone whose character made our legal community better.

That's it! 🙌 TWWHB will accept nominations through December 31, 2026. We will share our Wall of Honor selection in 2027, so stay tuned!
Twenty years has given us plenty to celebrate. It has also reminded us that none of us builds a career, a firm, or a legal community alone.
Help us honor those who came before us and keep their legacy alive.
